*whistle*

You are on a grassy field. The sun is beaming down on you with medium radiance, combined with an eastern sea breeze. Tall green grass pieces bang viciously with the wind, never bending or cracking the flexible plant, just playing rough.
Standing here are 2 figures, one who is tall and slim, the other is short and chubby. Alas! These 2 characters are none other than the elven mystic, Neimad and the dwarven priest, Reapher. Both travelers are clad in armors and items that appear to have hidden powers.
A distinct glowing can be seen on some pieces of equipment, and if you try hard enough, you can hear a humming sound from others.
The wind blows hard ; the helmed dwarf almost doesn't notice it, but Neimad, the lanky long haired elf, he knows the wind guardians presence is near. Nearer now than he desires.
Reapher puts his dwarven long sword in its holder, Neimad also sheaths his weapon, but too quick to identify its type.
They seem to be discussing the weather, or some other form of random conversation ; the color of the water ; the lingering smell of some distant tree.
Reapher says 'well, I must be off.'
Neimad takes a few steps on the grassy field. The grass forms around his knitted boots he killed somebody to acquire. To the distant east there is a beach with very dark blue salt water sliding across the rounded beach rocks.
Neimad says 'wait. There is more to this.'
Reapher's dwarven beard looks like it's dancing in the wind, but not enough to bother him. Well, dwarves are known for their resistance.
Reapher says 'ar' ya crazy elf? Ther's nottin' more. No less. You mess wit' forces of nature and ya'll suffer some ancient deitys curse.'
Reapher's words seem to travel with the wind, carried off to some distant trees, or further.. Neimad seems content on his own words, knowing not yet what they mean, but knowing something more than his comrad.
Neimad grins.
"Stupid elf" thinks Reapher, "if he knew half the things I know."
The 2 figures stand silently for a moment, then start up some chatter you dont quite understand. Some english words can be distinguished above others, but they seem to be discussing some future plan ; or a prophecy.
Their words are carried off by the wind and into the shades of forest green. Here lay the secrets of their mindless chatter.
*crack*
Both warriors turn to face you.
Uh oh!
You've lingered here too long, you should start running!

Life: The ability to die

The ability to die is provided by the actions of your life.. Indeed, I have fallen victim to many-a dragon, warrior, priest, etc..
From where I sit, I see all of Thera.. I've seen the furthest extent of the Dragon sea & its following continents. I have traveled on the Azure sea & found more areas!
Yet, still, there are places on the Thera map that aren't included in my vocabulary..
Question: Why are all these level 15-20 areas miles & miles away from Midgaard?
When I was a mere 17 year old elf, I was afraid to leave the safety of the town walls, and dare not travel onto an ocean..
I think maybe there should be multiple recall points & an updated map.. *BEAM*
But what I think floats in a sea of its own.. Each thought is but a grain of salt being washed upon the shore & forgotten.. Lost..
I have 250 hours punched in with Neimad.. More with other characters, but all for what? The ability to give life? To take life?
Nary a burden be laid upon your shoulders, I can carry the weight of all this. With my newest powers, I will rid the town of thieves, but they may appear somewhere else where you wouldn't want to run into them!~
When I reach level 40, I will make Midgaard a safer place! You will see differences such as: residents from other community's & lower risk of getting robbed!
A fear of getting robbed keeps me at home sometimes, or at the donation pit, it also keeps travelers from making an appearance.. Barred within the gates of their own cities or towns. *sigh*
Read not, understand not.. -Neimad

Abscence <-Patience is a Virtue->

My days of late have been spent thinking about new ideas for ROM and its players, as I work my ass of in real life!
Funny how I do hard labour & think about areas & mobs, even things such as new spell groups!
Oh my mind does rot with these thoughts, for I am still floating beneath level 40 with all my characters.. *sigh* ..And my Rivers playing has been interrupted and almost completly ignored ; not forgotten.
WORK:
My shifts were hardcore at first.. I'd work 8&1/2 hours, then get 10hrs off!! It was like that for the first week, then I started staying back to clean up, getting like 10hrs of work & 8 home!
Ugh, yes, work has been hectic, but nary as unforgiving as the hours spent thinking about ROM.
Ahh yes, this was posting while ROM was #10 on Mudconnector!
And yes, only a week before Ewen comes home!!
Ewen, you wonder, who's that?
You must refer to Reapher's Blog for more information about this subject, but Ewen is the missing link in the band.
Where is Ewen?
Ewen is doing pushups, marching & saluting under the Canadian Flag!
YES! Im in a band, but we're probally the least popluar band in the world.. Like becomming immortal, it takes time.
Ahh.. Good times.. *beam*
